As you may have noticed, the AVI download have been removed. The decision has been taken following the constant harassment, lack of respect and support from the communities involved. A 1 month warning was announced, and nothing changed. Even after the AVI were removed, we still got people who couldn't read the site, asking why the AVI were removed, or if we could send files to them.

The AVI are now gone. Things will have to change if people want them back. Here's the option we got.

We can stay with our current server, but we need space. I have been told if we were to get enough money, about 400$, Furvect could be upgraded with more space, enough for us to get nearly all of the clips. However, Furvect is running thanks to the generosity of its owner. And lately, the running cost for having Furvect has been increased, so we're still getting it, but with no warranty it wouldn't go offline next week, next month, next year or next years.

The second option is to move to a standalone server. But to make thing clear at the beginning, we are not going to spend a single cent to keep the server alive. Either people donate to keep it alive, or it goes. So here's the deal:

Now, let see. Lets say we had 500 Active members, that's about 3$ each, make that 4$ to cover the 1$ fee Paypal puts on each transaction, a YEAR. Not 10$ per month like some other sites ask. That's 4$ for a YEAR. Even less if there's actually more people.

Sure, moving to another server would take some time in order to convert the site, set the login and move everything up. But first, we need the money. So I'm putting a number: 800$. That should cover the setup fee and the cost for the first 6 months. But I'll need to know if people are really willing to keep the site up for more than a year. I don't want people to give money for the first year, then stop and let the site die after that time.
